You finish styling your hair and everything looks exactly the way you want. Then you step outside or catch your reflection in bright light, and a fuzzy halo of tiny hairs appears around the crown and hairline.
That's halo frizz. It is the ring of shorter hairs, flyaways, and frizz that appears around the crown and hairline. It can be caused by humidity, baby hairs, wiry grays, breakage, or natural texture.
Humidity is one of the biggest culprits. When moisture in the air penetrates the hair shaft, the cuticle lifts and swells, making hair rougher, less uniform, and more prone to frizz.
